Coach Breaks to Jersey Boys

Jersey Boys

During the 1960s and 70s, The Four Seasons were one of the most popular bands in the world, renowned for their breath-taking harmonies and fronted by the unmistakable falsetto voice of Frankie Valli.

But behind their dapper image and pitch perfect harmonies lay a more fascinating story that was anything but squeaky clean which included brushes with the law, links to mobsters and gambling addiction.

Jersey Boys charts the highs and lows of The Four Seasons from their formation and stardom right through to their subsequent split, told through the eyes of each member – Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi – who take it in terms to give their own perspective of the band’s journey.

The musical dives into the blue collar roots and hard-edged background of founding members Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi who dabbled in petty crime and spent in jail whilst trying and failing to get their band, the Varity Trio, off the ground.

Eventually they strike gold when they come across the angelic voice of Frankie Castelluccio - who became Frankie Valli - and songwriter Bob Gaudio. The Four Seasons were born and the rest, as they say, is history!

The band’s first hit ‘Sherry’ sold over a million records in three weeks and overnight they became a worldwide sensation.

But as the band get bigger and bigger, will some of its members be able to shake off their troublesome past?

Packed full of hit records, including 'Walk Like A Man', 'Big Girls Don’t Cry', 'Bye Bye Baby', 'Sherry' and 'Can’t Take My Eyes Off You', 'Working My Way Back to You', Jersey Boys is a captivating true story and one of the best jukebox musicals ever created.

Oh what a show!
