Eastern Europe is fast becoming a popular tourist destination due to its intriguing history under the Soviet Union and captivating cities which offer endless sightseeing opportunities.
Budapest, the capital of Hungary, offers an alluring blend of old and new where you can admire some of the finest baroque architecture in Europe, including the Royal Palace and striking Parliament building which straddles the banks of the River Danube.
Meanwhile in Poland, Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw provide a true insight in to the history of this country. Warsaw was totally destroyed during World War II but you wouldn’t guess given the way it has been lovingly reconstructed to its former glory, whilst the medieval city of Krakow is treasure trove of Gothic and Renaissance architecture.
Adding further appeal to a coach holiday in Eastern Europe is the Prague in the Czech Republic, a vibrant city located on the River Vlatva that is overlooked by hundreds of domes which dominate the skyline. Here you can see Tyn Church and Town Hall in the Old Town Square as well as Charles Bridge and Hradcany Castle.
